So here we are in Pendleton, Oregon. Lots of excitement! Grandpa Osburn followed Kelly in the big Standard Plumbing truck with all of our belongings. Zach and I were about an hour or so behind cleaning the house up. Once we got here the local missionaries and neighbor from our new ward helped unload. We found out that church starts at nine and it's about a 30 minute drive from here in a small town called Pilot Rock. Our stake center is in Walla Walla, Washington which is about an hour drive. The temple is in Kennewick, one of the tri-cities. Kelly started his job the next day. He has been hard at work trying to get the branch organized so that he can open up shop. He gets to hire someone, so that's a relief. We moved into a small duplex that's just the right size for our little family. I thought I would start this blog to keep you posted on the happenings in our lives. So keep watching for the latest with the Osburn family :)
Zach is so cute when he wakes up in the mornings. Just as content as can be. I chuckle when I catch him just playing and waiting for mom to come get him out of bed :)
Zach and I thought Kelly left the window in the front living room open and the wind was blowing. But to our horror Dad set a mouse trap and caught one! Mom saw that it was still trying to escape so she gave it a couple of smacks with the broom- YUCK, DISGUSTING! Zach and I went back to getting cleaned up for the day to make sure it was good and dead before disposing of it's carcass.
Do ya ever wonder when it was that you figured out that with out thinking you can control the movements in your appendages? I caught Zach really studying the movement of his hand in front of his face today- it was hilarious.
Do ya think that it would be a good idea to provide day care for some random mother on CL that needs help? I'm thinking that a little cash would help us out and staying at home with Zach is just the icing on the cake.
Do ya need a visit? I got a visit from the new relief society president today and she brought us a nice fresh loaf of bread from the local bakery just to make us feel at home and to welcome us into the ward. How nice!
Do ya ever miss the ones you love? I got a call from my sister Rosie today. I had been meaning to call her all week, but time slipped away and she beat me to the punch. She says Aunt Joyce and Uncle Pops are coming to Boise this weekend. Man, I miss it already.
